The nominations for post officers were made at the meeting in March with voting scheduled for the April meeting. This upcoming year will hold many challenges and we need the support of you, the member, to be successful.
Our district’s “Voice of Democracy” winner finished in the top 20 in Washington DC at the VFW National contest. We were very proud of her.
We have a few events coming up in the spring and Summer that we will be needing volunteers to help with the Poppy distribution and the Kaposia Days Bingo tent dates to follow. We need to be vigilant in our community or we could fade away and sooner or later people will start to say whatever happened to the VFW. Somehow, we have become divided in our vision of what the VFW should be. So, brothers and sisters we all should agree that there should be no division among us. We should be united in the same purpose in taking care of veterans and their families and supporting the community.
NOTE: Due to the stay at home the Governor will be put in effect the post meeting will be rescheduled to Wednesday April 15th at 6pm at Kaposia Park. This is due to the circumstances of the Covid-19.
Yours in Comradeship
